The First Trailer For 'A Star Is Born' Has Us Falling In Love All Over Again

Warner Bros.

Normally I'm not a big fan of Hollywood remakes, but I have to make an exception in this case.

After a long wait, the first trailer for the new version of A Star Is Born has finally dropped, and it could give the Barbra Streisand version a run for its money.

Like the classic film, the latest version of A Star Is Born tells a love story between two musicians.

Jackson Maine (Bradley Cooper) is an alcoholic singer at the tail end of his career, who discovers a shy but talented performer named Ally - played by pop musician Lady Gaga.

It seems like Jackson will help Ally come out of her shell as the two fall in love, but Ally's rising success will create some friction in their romance.

Along with its two stars, the movie features a fully loaded cast, including Sam Elliott, Dave Chappelle, and Andrew Dice Clay.

It also features new, original songs written by Lady Gaga for the movie.

While the 1976 version of A Star Is Born with Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson is the most famous, this will actually be the third remake.

The original film came out in 1937, while a 1954 remake starred James Mason and Judy Garland.

Both Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga are obviously hoping to pick up some awards nominations for this film

A Star Is Born is Cooper's directorial debut, while Lady Gaga was originally credited as her real name, Stefani Germanotta, for her part.

After acting in hit TV series like American Horror Story, it seems like Gaga is hoping to earn an Oscar nod for this role.

It will also be interesting to see how Cooper's singing voice measures up to Gaga's. The pair performed live at the Glastonbury and Coachella music festivals during filming.

Kris Kristofferson even joined them on stage, so he might be making a cameo in the new movie.

We'll have to wait until October 5th to see whether A Star Is Born lives up to the hype, but we can't wait to see the whole thing!

Are you excited for this movie? Are you a fan of the 1976 version?
