It seems like the end of an era. If you wanted to see Céline Dion in Vegas - you have missed your chance. The legendary Grammy winner performed her 1,141st and last concert at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Saturday after 16 years. It's been a show that has captivated more than 4.5 million fans.

"You’ve been with us throughout this incredible journey and I can’t thank you enough! One more night in Vegas… let’s go for it! ⚡️– Céline xx"

Her final performance was an emotional one.

“I am very excited and I am a little bit emotional at the same time,” Dion told the audience, according to People. “This is our final show in this beautiful Colosseum in Las Vegas. There are lots of wonderful memories, you know, but it’s kind of strange at the same time, because when they started to put it together I was here and it was like, ‘I don’t know.’ Then I must have misunderstood something because I thought I was going to be here for three months or something like this, and here we are 16 years later. Maybe we have saved the best for last.”

Céline then closed out her Las Vegas residency by premiering a new single, “Flying On My Own.”

The 51-year-old then sang a beautiful cover of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" whilst behind her photos and mementos from her past shows were displayed on a large screen.

During the final curtain call, Céline looked overwhelmed with emotion as she watched a collage of throwback images from her first ever Colosseum show, as well as heartwarming snaps of her late husband. Their three sons, René-Charles, 18, and 8-year-old twins Eddy and Nelson, then joined her onstage during an emotional final curtain call.

"I'm both proud and humbled by what we've accomplished at the Colosseum since we began 16 years ago, when René and I first shared this dream," Dion said. "This entire experience has been a huge part of my show business career...one that I will cherish forever. I have so many people to thank, but the most important ‘thank you' goes to my fans, who gave us the opportunity to do what we love."

"What was the hardest for me is that, as you all know it's very easy for me to cry, but I did not want to cry because I wanted to prove to myself, I wanted to prove to myself that I didn't want the tears and the emotion to take over my strength that I feel," Dion said backstage. "Flying on my own, this is a new chapter. René will always remain in my life."
