Chrissy Teigen And John Legend Reveal The Name Of Their Baby And It's A Classic

Chrissy Teigen is one of the most popular celebrity moms because she extremely candid about what it is like to be a parent.

The model and cookbook author welcomed her first child with singer John Legend, daughter Luna Simone, in 2016, and she has been unapologetically oversharing ever since.

From her fertility issues to her pregnancy struggles, and postpartum depression, Chrissy, more than most celebrities of her caliber, has let fans into her life and she doesn't seem to have plans to stop any time soon.

Chrissy and John conceived Luna by IVF, and in 2017, they used the last remaining egg from the batch of three that they hand-selected to try for another baby.

The couple were also able to choose the sex of the baby in the process, and this time, they opted for a boy.

Back in November, shortly after their fourth wedding anniversary, Chrissy took to Instagram to reveal that their family was going to be growing, and she enlisted big sister Luna's help in making the adorable announcement.

"Luna, what's in here?" Teigen can be heard saying in the background of the video, with baby Luna pointing at her mom's stomach and shouting, "Baby!"

The Lip Sync Battle judge hilariously captioned the video, "It's John's."

"Very excited to not have to hide this anymore. Everyone I told first was like "˜uh yeah we knew thanks,' " she said while showing off her baby bump in the another post a few weeks after sharing the news of her pregnancy.

Six months later, the family of three became four with the arrival of the newest addition.

On May 17, the new mom sent out a very short tweet hinting that she had already given birth, but did not share any further details.

"Somebody's herrrrrrre," the mom-of-two tweeted.

The next day, after a fan asked if their newborn son looks like Luna, Chrissy replied with some more details about the baby.

"Same nose! He is a few weeks early so he's litttttttle and makes the teeniest noises," she responded, adding, "We are in love."

It took a couple more days, but on May 20, Chrissy and her Grammy-winning husband were ready to show off their precious little boy to the rest of the world.

Chrissy uploaded a photo of their son, who is named Miles Theodore Stephens (John's actual last name is Stephens), on Instagram, along with the caption:

"Hello, world! This is Miles Theodore Stephens - We are drowning in his little peeps and nuzzles," Teigen wrote in the caption of a picture showing the baby sleeping. "Our household feels overwhelmed with love. Thank you for all your well wishes!"

That same day, the new dad attended the 2018 Billboard Music Awards, and revealed the sweet meaning behind the newborn's name.

"We named our first daughter Luna Simone Stephens; every name we give to our kids I think will have a little bit of musical history to it. So Miles is, of course, is the same name as the great Miles Davis," John told E! News. "Chrissy really liked the name Theodore, so we put it all together as Miles Theodore Stephens. When he came out and we hung out with him for a little while we were like, 'Yeah, he looks like a Miles.'"

Miles Davis was one of the most celebrated figures of Jazz music. Even today, the African-American trumpeter continues to have an influence on the genre.

While John was busy with red carpet interviews and a performance, Chrissy was watching him from home, and took to Twitter to tease her hubby about running away from his daddy duties.

"Wow didn't u just have a baby John smh go take care of it !!!!!! disgusting," she tweeted.

Of course, the tweet was a joke, but it was also a reference to the mom-shaming Chrissy experienced after she was spotted having a date night just a few days after Luna's birth.

The tweet was a subtle reminder that it's mostly moms who get criticized and shamed for their parenting skills. Dads are rarely scrutinized.

But just in case John had plans to stay out late, Chrissy made sure he would not by cooking short ribs. She asked John to "be home by 9," and surely, he rushed back as soon the event wrapped up.

John later sent out a tweet confirming that he made it home in time to enjoy short rib night with his family.

In addition to giving us glimpses of baby Miles, showing off her cooking skills, and mocking John, Chrissy also took the time to discuss the not-so pleasant postpartum experiences that many women live through.

The mom also posted a photo on Instagram in which she can be seen wearing the mesh underwear that the hospital provides following birth.

Fellow celebrity moms were quick to leave comments under Chrissy relatable photo.

"Omg!!! That was so funny and so right on!" Jessica Alba wrote. "I love those underwear they were lifesaver after birth," Jaime King chimed in.

"Same boat! Adult diapers for the win! Congratulations on the little one!" American Idol winner and recent new mom Jordin Sparks commented.
