Her 2lb Weight Loss Totally Transformed Her

Adrienne Osuna is proof that the number on the scale doesn't hold a lot of clout.

Osuna, 31, lost just 2lbs on her weight-loss journey, but totally transformed her body.

The newly-fit mom says a regime of power-lifting changed her life, but the extra muscle she gained meant the number on the scale didn't move a whole lot.

"After baby number four I lost 62 of the 80 lbs. I had gained and reached 182 lbs., at which point my body was done," Osuna says. "I was not eating enough. My metabolism was shot. My hormones were out of balance, and I was often sick."

Her struggle with the scale turned unhealthy pretty quickly.

"If I messed up one day on my diet or the scale wouldn't move I'd binge. After about six months of the scale not moving, I decided enough "” enough beating myself up and enough running for hours and barely eating."

But the mom of four knew she couldn't keep up like this forever.

"I finally decided I was going to focus on what my body could do and what it's capable of instead of what it weighed," she says. "After a few months, friends and family kept telling me I was shrinking and losing weight but I kept saying, "˜I wish! The scale hasn't moved!'"

Then she looked at her before and after pictures.

<amp-instagram height="1" width="1" layout="responsive" data-captioned="" data-shortcode="BPacQ2lg3Us"></amp-instagram>

"I really want women to know that the scale should not be the only factor they consider," Osuna said. "They should take measurements and pictures and go based on how they feel and look. Freedom from the scale is so liberating!"

Osuna's diet and exercise regime is fairly structured. She lifts weight four days a week, only doing carrdio once or twice a week. She doesn't diet, but rather intermittently fasts from 7pm to 11am six days a week.

But Adrienne Osuna says she is finally happy with her body.

"I compared pictures and couldn't believe my eyes. I was almost the same weight but looked dramatically different! I realized what was happening and it fueled me," she says. "It also made me want to share with other ladies that the scale is not the ultimate factor in your success."

<amp-img src="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/02/13880315_10208276901773658_3350741269185833946_n.jpg" srcset="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/02/13880315_10208276901773658_3350741269185833946_n_GH_content_550px.jpg 550w, https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/02/13880315_10208276901773658_3350741269185833946_n_GH_content_650px.jpg 650w, https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/02/13880315_10208276901773658_3350741269185833946_n_GH_content_750px.jpg 750w" sizes="89vw" title="" alt="" height="9" width="16" layout="responsive"></amp-img>
