Kaley Cuoco Interrupts Honeymoon To Undergo Unexpected Surgery

When Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco said "I do" a few days ago, she and her husband, equestrian Karl Cook vowed to stay with each other "in sickness and in health."

Unfortunately, it seems like the "in sickness" part came sooner than expected.

The couple, who tied the knot on June 30, had their honeymoon interrupted when Cuoco was forced to undergo shoulder surgery.

The actress took to Instagram to reveal that she had the operation and thanked her fans for "all the love and support"

"When your "˜honeymoon' is shoulder surgery and your husband looks just as happy lol on the road to recovery - thank you for all the love and support! ❤️ knowing @mrtankcook I'm sure he will be posting tons of hilarious gems 🙄🤪 thank god my hair color is on point."

Neither Cuoco, 32, nor her new husband explained why she needed to get the surgery, especially when her arm seemed to have been fine in the wedding photos and videos.

Although it's unfortunate that she had to go through this right now, she and Cook are having a very good sense of humor about the situation.

Cook, 27, shared a couple of snaps and clips of Cuoco's post-surgery experience on his Instagram page, and they're quite funny.

"Everyone has their own version of a newlywed glow....well @normancook yours is memorable😳 #shouldersurgeryhoneymoon," he wrote in the caption of an upclose picture of Cuoco's face.

He also posted a clip of Cuoco sleeping in the car on the drive home and captioned it with, "snoring like a distressed walrus. I love you so much honey but wow! #shouldersurgeryhoneymoon."

Cuoco later shared a series of Instagram stories in which Cook was attempting to tie her hair up in a top knot ponytail since she can't do it for herself.

"All I'm asking for is a top knot ponytail because I can't.... No, I want a top knot bun, please don't mess this up," she said.

It took more than 10 minutes before he got it right. Finally, Cuoco was able to relax and cuddle with her dog.

This is definitely not how the couple planned to start this new chapter of their lives but they at least had the chance to enjoy a spectacular party before things took a turn.

The couple, who were married by Cuoco's sister Briana, had a 1920s equestrian-themed wedding complete with a horseshoe altar, customized mini bourbon bottles, a photo booth, an ice luge, cigar rollers, and entertainment by acrobats, aerial dancers, magicians, jugglers, and a fire-breather.

We're wishing Cuoco a speedy recovery!
