Major Update In Teacher-Student Kidnapping Case

Tad Cummins, who was wanted for the abduction of 15-year-old Elizabeth Thomas, has been located and arrested. Thomas was also found safe.

Cummins, who was Thomas' former teacher, has been on the run with the girl for more than a month across the United States. On March 13th, Thomas and her 50-year-old former teacher disappeared and fled the state of Tennessee. They were spotted together at a Walmart in Oklahoma City on March 31, which was the first sighting since Thomas' abduction.

The case has been widely publicized, with a lot of reports stating that Thomas willingly went with Cummins and was not in any danger. However, because of Thomas' age, Cummins would still be committing a crime. Authorities issued a warrant for his arrest for sexual contact with a minor and aggravated kidnapping. They also believed he was armed with two handguns.

<amp-img src="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/04/tad-cummingsjpg-6748fdb65795619a.jpg" srcset="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/04/tad-cummingsjpg-6748fdb65795619a_GH_content_550px.jpg 550w" sizes="89vw" title="" alt="" height="9" width="16" layout="responsive"></amp-img>
AL.com

Tad Cummins had separated from his wife just weeks before committing the crime, with his wife saying he was "guilty of inappropriate marital conduct."

The evidence suggests that Cummins and Thomas had been planning their "getaway" for weeks, with both of them posting incessantly on social media about their love for someone (presumably each other.)

Click next page to see what they posted to each other!

<amp-instagram height="1" width="1" layout="responsive" data-captioned="" data-shortcode="BRjTM2rD4uY"></amp-instagram>

<amp-instagram height="1" width="1" layout="responsive" data-captioned="" data-shortcode="BRi9su7Ds1p"></amp-instagram>

<amp-instagram height="1" width="1" layout="responsive" data-captioned="" data-shortcode="BRi_tW3hs1y"></amp-instagram>

<amp-instagram height="1" width="1" layout="responsive" data-captioned="" data-shortcode="BRjVgzVhndW"></amp-instagram>

<amp-instagram height="1" width="1" layout="responsive" data-captioned="" data-shortcode="BRjG-IfhptD"></amp-instagram>

"It's entirely likely Elizabeth doesn't believe "“ at least right now "“ that she's a victim," Tennessee Bureau of Investigation spokesman Josh DeVine said.

On Wednesday evening, the vehicle belonging to Tad Cummins was found in Northern California.
