Rob Lowe And His Sons Will Star In A New Spooky Reality TV Show

When you're a celebrity it can be really hard to find time to spend with the people you love. Many tend to take a hiatus between projects or retire earlier than anticipated to enjoy some quality time with their families. However, this isn't the case for Rob Lowe.

The Parks and Recreation star has managed to find a way to bring together his job and family and I'm not sure if the world is ready for the result.

The 53-year-old actor and his college-aged sons, John Owen and Matthew, are the stars of a brand new show called The Lowe Files, which will follow the Lowes as they travel the country to "explore infamous unsolved mysteries."

This isn't the first time that 21-year-old John Owen will be making an appearance on the small screen. He's starred on his father's show The Grinder as Joel Zadak from 2015 to 2016.

As for Matthew, he's a little less known, but he's made appearances on the red carpet as well as on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The View, and Entertainment Tonight.

The father-son trio will be exploring an abandoned boys' reformatory, an alien base and train with secret government operatives to deepen their knowledge about urban legends, among other things. Also, the family has their own "personal shaman" to accompany them on their spooky missions.

The show is supposedly unscripted, it is "100% authentic" and "nothing has been staged for television."

The brothers inherited their father's love for the paranormal but they're still slightly skeptical about certain aspects of it. John Owen told Good Morning America that him and Matthew try to keep their dad from being too invested in the urban legends.

"We have to keep him grounded. I always say he's a borderline conspiracy theorist," said John Owen.

Rob disagrees and simply thinks that John Owen is " the skeptic" and also "scared."

You can be the judge after you watch their reactions in the show's first official trailer. :

The Lowe Files premiered Aug. 2 at 10 p.m. on A&E.
