6 Years Later, "The Most Beautiful Girl In The World" Is A Gorgeous Teen Model

How young is too young to be a model?

The "right" age is still up for debate, but if you ask some parents like soccer star Patrick Blondeau and actress Véronika Loubry they'll say that there is no such thing as too young to model.

The French couple's daughter, Thylane Blondeau, inherited ridiculously good looks and started making her mark in the fashion industry in 2005 at the tender age of 4. That same year, she walked the runway at a Jean Paul Gaultier show.

Shortly after her runway debut, the photogenic little girl started popping up in French magazines and fashion campaigns. Since some countries do not allow models under 16 to walk in runway shows, it took Thylane some time to gain international fame.

In 2011, a then 10-year-old Thylane started to attract worldwide attention, and was dubbed "the most beautiful girl in the world."

Vogue Paris took notice of the blue-eyed beauty and featured her in a multi-page spread. The photos stirred controversy after people pointed out that the underage model was too young to be wearing makeup, high heels and adult clothing.

"This picture is the antithesis of what childhood in our society should be; a child being exposed to a world she is not yet equipped to deal with solely to serve the needs of the adults around her," said psychologist Emma Grey.

Thylane became the subject of a media storm, which only fueled her career more.

"I understand that this could seem shocking. I admit I myself was shocked during the photo shoot," said her mom. "But let me be precise: the only thing that shocked me is that the necklace she wore was worth €3 million!"

"I turn down at least three-quarters of the things we're offered. For the moment, she's leading a normal life," she added.

The aspiring supermodel continued to have her parents' support and kept following her dream of becoming the next Kate Moss.

By the time Thylane turned 16 this past April, her resume rivaled many adult models, and she wasn't even at her prime yet.

In 2014, at the age of 13, she appeared on the cover of Jalouse magazine.

About a year later she was featured in her very own Teen Vogue spread.

Signed by the international modeling agency, IMG Models, Thylane is now more popular than ever and as she got older, she's had the chance to speak out about her career.

"My favorite part of the job is meeting new photographers and makeup artists. I love to try on the clothes, too!" she told Teen Vogue in 2015.

Fashion Gone Rogue

The gorgeous teen has recently signed on to be a spokesperson for L'Oreal Paris and has been taking over runways for some well-known designers.

This year, she has modeled for Chanel, Lacoste, Ralph Lauren and Dolce & Gabana.

The 16-year-old also inherited some of her mom's talent in acting and took on her first role as Gabrielle in the film Belle & Sebastian: The Adventure Continues.

Thylane also had some interesting things to say about growing up a model...

When asked about being too young to model, she replied, "Well, Kate Moss started modeling at the age of 15, and that was a little while ago. So, no. I'm not too young. If you have a good agency and people who take care of you... it's perfect."

She was recently spotted sitting front row at Michael Kors's New York Fashion Week show rubbing shoulders with other celebrities.

When she's not in a photoshoot or strutting designer clothes on the runway, Thylane told W magazine that she is at home resting and catching up on school.

The model is also active on Instagram and uses the photo sharing platform to keep fans updated.

Despite all of the controversy surrounding her childhood, Thylane grew up to be a successful model with her head on her shoulders. Her star will surely keep shining for a long time.
