<div><p>Ann Marie Thomas faces up to a year in prison if convicted of her misdemeanor charge of willfully neglecting her duties as an EMT. </p><p>Thomas was called to an emergency call about a baby who had stopped breathing in Detroit. The 911 dispatcher informed Thomas there was an 8-month-old baby who was struggling to breathe, but Thomas didn't seem too concerned about saving the life. </p><p>"When she arrived, instead of rushing to help save the infant's life, Thomas parked her emergency vehicle around the corner from the house," reads a document from the civil suit filed against Thomas. "I'm going to need you to make that scene.
