Viewers React After 'AGT' Sends Home Two Fan Favorites

The idea behind the new series of America's Got Talent is that only the best of the best are competing, as past winners and fan favorites return to the stage for showdown called The Champions.

But that only makes it more painful and shocking when our favorite acts are sent home. And viewers got a double dose of painful eliminations on this week's episode.

In the season's second episode, acts like ventriloquist Darci Lynne Farmer (a past AGT winner) and singer Courtney Hadwin (one of last season's finalists) showed off their talent and reminded fans why they did so well in their original competitions.

Hadwin even debuted a new original song in her performance.

But, sadly, both Farmer and Hadwin were sent home after losing out to Spanish talent show champion Cristina Ramos. The singer's impressive cover of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" earned her a pass to the show's final round thanks to votes from fans.

Fans were upset by the result, and rushed to share their feelings online.

"Darci Lynne Farmer was robbed!" one fan tweeted.

Thankfully, there were no grudges between the performers when all was said and done. Farmer called Hadwin "AWESOME" on Twitter during the show, and gave props to Ramos for moving on to the finals.

"It's insane how good she is," Farmer told People.

Another heart-stopping act, the knife-throwing duo Dangerous Games, was also put through to the finals. But there was no controversy about that choice, because viewers could barely keep their eyes open during the tense performance.

The act, which previously competed on season 11 of the show, wowed the judges with their dangerous knife and crossbow stunts, and nabbed a Golden Buzzer from judge Heidi Klum.

This week's winning acts join singer Susan Boyle and comedian  Preacher Lawson, who are both already locked in for the season finale.

With such talented acts already lined up, there's no denying Champions will be a season to remember.
