Britney Spears Wants Her Fans To Know That She Is Okay

There is no other 90s Pop Diva like Britney Spears, as a child, I would listen to her albums on repeat and dance along with them. I would become jealous of Jamie Lynn Spears because she was lucky enough to call Britney her sister. In my 9 year old mind no one could compare to Britney.

After she infamously shaved her head in 2007 I thought that her darkest times were behind her. Especially since her dad, Jamie Spears, was granted legal control of her affairs. But now I can say 2019 has also been a tough year for this pop star.

At the beginning of this year, Britney informed fans that she would be canceling her Domination residency in Las Vegas because of her father's health.  She went on Instagram to tell fans that, " [She's] been looking forward to this show and seeing all of [her fans] this year, so doing this breaks [her] heart. However, it's important to always put your family first... and that's the decision [she] had to make".

After that announcement she entered a wellness facility, in order, to process the health issues surrounding her family. As fans began to become concerned for her health, a voicemail was released from someone who claimed to once be on her legal team.  This voicemail stated that her dad, Jamie Spears, was too controlling of Britney and that he was the one who forced her to seek treatment and stay in the wellness facility.

This notion caused fans to start a Free Britney campaign. This campaign was to protest Jamie Spears' control over Britney. Fans wanted the court to remove Jamie Spears as the controller of Britney's estate.

However, before you get your protest signs, you should know Britney once again used  Instagram to address these rumors.

She would like fans to know that she is okay and these rumours are nothing but rumours. She said on Instagram, "I wanted to say hi, because things that are being said have just gotten out of control!!! Wow!!! There's rumors, death threats to my family and my team, and just so many things crazy things being said. I am trying to take a moment for myself, but everything that's happening is just making it harder for me. Don't believe everything you read and hear. These fake emails everywhere were crafted by Sam Lutfi years ago... I did not write them. He was pretending to be me and communicating with my team with a fake email address. My situation is unique, but I promise I'm doing what's best at this moment. You may not know this about me, but I am strong, and stand up for what I want! Your love and dedication is amazing, but what I need right now is a little bit of privacy to deal with all the hard things that life is throwing my way. If you could do that, I would be forever grateful. Love you"

I am very glad she is doing well.  As someone once said, I wish everyone would just "leave Britney alone" and let her have some time with her family.
