While we all dream of a glamorous life in Hollywood from time to time, a surprising number of stars are keen to leave the glitz and glamour behind.

Many actors and actresses own a plot of land out in the country, where they can escape to nature and forget about their celebrity status.

But for Chris Pratt, and his new fiancee Katherine Schwarzenegger, their life on the farm is the real deal.

The Jurassic World star owns a home on Lake Stevens, Washington where he lives the simple life of a sheep farmer.

It's a surprising turn for one of Hollywood's highest paid actors, but one that Pratt obviously enjoys based on his smiling Instagram snaps from the country.

He spent a six month hiatus between movie projects at the farm, and says he plans to work less in the future so he can focus on raising animals full-time.

While Pratt also raises chickens, and owns at least one longhorn cow, sheep are his bread and butter. And the actor is no slouch, as his ewe Cacao recently earned a blue ribbon for her exceptional wool.

Pratt has yet to turn his working farm into a paying business, but says he's putting the wool and lamb meat he collects to good use with his friends and family.

Katherine Schwarzenegger, Pratt's new fiancee and the daughter of action movie star Arnold, seems perfectly suited to the farm life too, as she cozies up to his lambs in adorable Instagram photos.

The couple are reportedly planning a big, traditional wedding later in 2019, either in the fall or winter. Maybe Pratt's farm would be the perfect location for their ceremony.

Pratt's son Jack, from his previous marriage to actress Anna Faris, has also stopped by the farm to mingle with his dad's animals.

Not many stars worth up to $40 million would choose to stomp around in the mud after sheep, but Pratt has always been pretty down-to-earth. He recently shared an Instagram post about his time working at a Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. restaurant, before his big break in Hollywood.

"Every time I go back I'm reminded of the thousands of shrimp I ate off of people's plates on the way back to the kitchen," Pratt wrote. "Please tip your server. Leave at least 20%. Also leave some shrimp."

But the job wasn't so bad, it turns out. Pratt revealed to Kelly and Ryan that he was discovered while working at the restaurant, and was named "Gumper of the Year" by the company.
