Costco Recalls Popular Food Item

You will want to check your freezer for these chicken strips. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is warning consumers of harmful bacteria that could cause food poisoning.

JD Sweid Foods Ltd. is recalling Hampton House brand chicken strips due to a potentially dangerous error in preparation instructions.

According to the CFIA, "The oven preparation instructions on the label should read: "Preheat to 204°C (400°F)."

The affected product is a 1.5 kg package with UPC code 066123543817 and is sold at Costco in Ontario, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, and Quebec.

If you have purchased this product, return it immediately to the store where you bought it to get a full refund.

Please notify your doctor if you ate this product and felt sick afterwards. Symptoms could include nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.
