Poor Gertrude. Gertrude is a hen who has had a rough couple days. She is a chicken who lives on Gary Ashmore's farm and her eggs are perhaps the strangest that you will ever see.

When Ashmore noticed her eggs were getting bigger, he was at first a little concerned. When he started to open them up, something looked a little off.

As he and his wife started to peel open these jumbo eggs they saw something red floating around inside.

The 7 month old chicken is having some kind of double eggs! A smaller complete egg with shell and all growing inside the unusually large egg.

That's pretty intense!
