Ever wondered how they get those cool multicolored bath bombs at the store?! Introducing Cupcake Bath Bombs! These whimsical, vanilla-scented bath bombs will turn your bathtub into a rainbow!

All you need are some ingredients you probably already have at home, mix and let it set! Beware - these bath bombs look like deliciously sweet cupcakes!

Remember, these are for your bath, not your tummy!

Materials:

  • 2 cups baking soda
  • 1 cup cream of tartar
  • 1/2 cup Epsom salt
  • 2 tablespoons almond oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essential oil
  • 3/4 tablespoon water
  • Gel food coloring
  • Silicone cupcake pan
  • Star sprinkles
  • Cupcake liners

Directions:

Combine the dry ingredients in a large bowl: baking soda, cream of tartar, and epsom salt. Divide dry ingredients evenly between four bowls, and set aside.

In a separate bowl, combine the wet ingredients: almond oil, vanilla essential oil, and water.

Divide wet ingredients evenly between four bowls. Add purple, blue, green, and pink food coloring (or whichever colors you choose) to individual bowls and mix.

Slowly add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients while stirring. If too much water is added at once, the baking soda will begin to fizz, so add slowly.

Using silicone cupcake liners, scoop the colors in as desired to achieve multicolored layers.

Pack down the mixture. Use your palm to round the top of the cupcake. Add star sprinkles.

Let dry 24-48 hours.

Pop these in the bath for a fizzy and colorful display. These bath bombs make great homemade gifts, but we won't blame you if you want to keep them all for yourself!
