Anna Nicole Smith's daughter Dannielynn Birkhead has had quite the life already. She's only twelve years old but she has gone through more than what a lot of us have to deal with in a lifetime.

Her half-brother Daniel passed away when she was a baby, and then just a few short months after that her mother died. Young Dannielynn was only five months old, but there were three possible fathers.

Larry Birkhead won the paternity suit after a three week long legal battle, and ever since he has been doing everything in his power to give her a normal life.

The first thing he did was move back to his hometown in Louisville so he could get away from Hollywood.

"It takes away the chase," he said back in 2016, "it takes away the curiosity, it takes away the false stories."

At just 3 years old, a pink-clad Dannielynn Birkhead made her Kentucky Derby debut with Dad.

Most of the time the daddy daughter dua stay out of the limelight. However they do make an annual trip to the legendary Barnstable Brown Kentucky Derby Gala in Louisville, Kentucky. This where Larry met Anna Nicole years ago.

I think about life in a different way. I had kidney stones and was in the hospital for a week, says Birkhead. I was freaking out thinking, If something happens to me, Dannielynn is by herself. I'm all this little one has left.

The father-daughter duo went as Mary Poppins and Bert — parasol and all!

“It’s tough raising a little girl without a mom,” Birkhead told Steve Harvey in 2016. “You always want to make sure you’re doing the right things and a thing that a mom would choose that a dad might not choose.”

Birkhead told Inside Edition earlier this year. “She reminds me so much of her mom and as she gets older, and her features are changing, it’s just like having a little miniature Anna Nicole running around in so many ways.”

Then 11-years-old, and now rocking braces, Dannielynn opted for a pretty white tea-length dress adorned with blue flowers this year. With a blue ribbon at her waist, a matching blue necklace, white gloves and a massive white hat also with blue flowers on it.

“Kentucky Derby time once again. Dannielynn looks pretty in pink in her dress by Junona and her Mom’s hat from her unforgettable appearance at The Kentucky Derby in 2004 #KentuckyDerby2019,” Birkhead tweeted at the time.

A photo of Dannielynn was the first Birkhead shared with fans in a while, when he marked Mother's Day by taking Dannielynn and a friend out to a restaurant in St. Matthews, Kentucky.

Proud papa Larry Birkhead then shared a trio of photos of Dannielynn wearing a floral print dress and holding up the tickets for a Hamilton show he bought her as a graduation gift.

"Surprised Dannielynn with [Hamilton] tickets for 7th grade graduation. I think she is happy," he wrote, adding the hashtags "graduation" and "Kentucky Center for the Arts."

Larry Birkhead, you should be proud. She appears as though she is a  happy, well-adjusted kid. Bravo! Great job of normalcy!

The pair were at the Kentucky Derby in 2021 and shared their yearly photo. Dannielynn rocked a bright blue Jovani suit paired with an elaborate white headpiece, sparkly ballet flats, and a matching face mask for the occasion, as documented on her father's Instagram page.

Larry captioned the post: "She said she wanted to wear something entirely different than she had in the past. I guess that means no more “little girl” dresses?? She cleaned out the chocolate brownies, ice cream and nachos while at the same time critiquing my outfit. 🤷‍♂️"
