Victoria Beckham Speaks Out As Divorce Rumors Swirl

When you see celebrities in glossy magazines or on the small screen, you can't help but assume they live the most perfect lives.

While being a star has an incredible amount of perks, they also have to deal with the intensive media scrutiny that comes with being thrust into the public eye.

One person who knows this to be true is none other than Victoria Beckham, who has been in the industry for more than two decades.

She married soccer superstar David Beckham in 1999, and has since welcomed four children, sons Brooklyn, 19, Romeo, 15, Cruz, 13 and daughter Harper, 6.

While the Beckhams' children have also had their fair share of time in the spotlight, the public is most interested in the state of the couple's marriage.

As of late, talks of a potential divorce have been making their ways around the rumor mill, their spokesperson was quick to shut the gossip down.

"There is no statement due, no divorce, and a lot of Chinese whispers and fake social media news...This is all very bizarre and an embarrassing waste of time," they said.

But now the former Spice Girl has spilled the beans at the Forbes Women's Summit in New York City this past Tuesday on being a successful professional while also being present with her family.

"I try really, really hard. I try hardest to be the best mother," Victoria explained.

"I am trying to be the best wife and the best professional. When I get home I try to put the phone down and spend time with the children and spend time with David," she continued.

The fashion designer further elaborated that she's able to juggle the two roles with the help of her "incredible husband."

"I have the support of an incredible husband. We really are equal with everything we do at home with the children," the fashion designer added. "When I'm away he's the one doing the school run and doing the cooking. It's about being in a working partnership."

However this doesn't mean they've always had a rock solid marriage.

In 2004 News of the World published an article claiming that David had an affair with his former personal assistant Rebecca Loos.

While David dismissed the allegation as "ludicrous," Loos told the British tabloid that she hoped he and Victoria wouldn't end their marriage.

"I think the problems were in their marriage long before I came into the picture. I in no way intended to break up their marriage especially when there are young children involved. I hope they stay together."

But despite the turmoil the couple have experienced through their 19-year marriage, it doesn't sound like the power couple will be parting ways anytime soon.

"Over the years, Victoria has fought hard for her marriage, and for David," a source told PEOPLE. "She never gave up when someone else might have."
