Not Your Average Crayons! Super Easy Craft Project To Add Some Fun To Your Coloring Projects

Do you have a kids party coming up? Or maybe even a party with adults that like to color? Why don't you try out this ridiculously easy tutorial and make your own custom shaped crayons!

Silicon molds are available in endless shapes these days, dinosaurs, hearts, numbers, letters and just about anything else you can think of. Find yourself a mold that is safe to go in the oven and grab those broken crayons and put them to good use. We went with Lego shapes!

Materials Needed:

  • Crayons
  • Knife
  • Silicone molds (we used these Lego ones from Amazon)

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 200 degrees.

Start by peeling off all the labels from the crayons.

Then, break them up into small pieces that will fit into your mold.

Fill the molds with your small crayon pieces. You can even mix up the colors to get cool tie-dye effects.

You can make so many different shapes with these silicone molds so try as many as you want!

Put your silicone mold into the oven for 30 minutes.

After the 30 minutes is done, let the tray sit on the counter for 10 minutes before popping it in the fridge to cool for another 30 minutes.

Gently pop all your crayons out of the molds and you are ready with your on-theme crayons!
