DIY Mini Pallet Drink Coasters

You won't believe it, we finally found a use for all those crafty popsicle sticks you had laying around the you just couldn't throw out! Yup, that's right, no more holding on to those items that you constantly tell yourself "I'll use them one day..." because that day is here!

DIY Mini Pallet Coasters are the perfect little decoration to add to your patio this summer, and also a great DIY craft to get your little ones involved with.

With minimal materials needed and super easy assembly steps, you can have a few of these done up in plenty of time for happy hour!

I love when I come across little crafts like these where I'm able to use up excess material that I have laying around. That always seems to be the case with the popsicle sticks...you go out to the store and have to buy a bag of 100 sticks for a craft where it only requires the use of 5...now what am I going to do with the remaining 95 sticks?

So if you're like me and have a bag of these little guys laying around, pull our your scissors and glue gun, and get yourself some super cute coasters for this summer season!

1. Begin by cutting the ends off of each popsicle stick so that you are left with a straight edge. Be sure to measure your popsicle stick so that the remaining sticks are all the same size.

2. Lay two of the popsicle sticks flat down and add a dab of hot glue to each end. Using two other popsicle sticks, turn them onto their sides and attach them to the dabs of glue to create a full square.

3. Once your square is complete, add one more popsicle stick on it's side down the center.

4. Now begin to add the top of the pallet by gluing down the popsicle sticks flat. Be sure to spread them out evenly.

5. Once the top has dried, flip the pallet over and complete the bottom using the same method.

6. Allow the pallet coaster to dry completely.
