"Dancing With The Stars" Reportedly Lands Honey Boo Boo...And Maybe A Kardashian?

TLC/ABC

One of the most exciting times of the year is when Dancing With The Stars reveals who they're bringing onto the show that season. In my opinion, DWTS is one of the best "reality" shows on television because there's really no way to fake it. If you can't dance, you cannot dance.

Last season was an all-athlete season, and Olympic figure skater Adam Rippon took home the title.

Now, the long-running competition show will be introducing another specialty season, called Dancing With The Stars: Juniors. The contestants will all be kids, though an age cut-off hasn't been announced.

Since the Juniors season was revealed, people have been speculating who might be appearing as the "stars." According to Us Weekly, two of the cast members have already been named. Plus, there's a pretty solid hint that we know who a third one is.

Honey Boo Boo

Fans of TLC's Toddlers & Tiaras will definitely know who Alana Thompson, aka Honey Boo Boo, is. The former pageant star, who will be turning 13 this year, is no stranger to being on television, but the ballroom dance aspect will definitely be new!

Honey Boo Boo may not be in the pageant world anymore, but she's still on TV with her mom Mama June on Mama June From Not To Hot.

Miles Brown

Fans of the show Black-ish will recognize Brown as Jack Johnson. The soon-to-be 14-year-old is also the NBA's Jr. reporter, and appeared in the 2018 NBA Celebrity Game. Sources say Brown will be the one to beat in the competition, but it's hard to say that for sure without knowing who else is competing.

Our Guess

ABC

If you've been watching DWTS for a while, you'll know that Kim Kardashian appeared on the show ten years ago in 2008, before she was the megastar she is now. She competed with fan favorite Mark Ballas and was eliminated third in the competition.

But Kim made things a little interesting recently when she posted a video of her at the DWTS studio on Instagram.

Instagram

"Guess where I'm at, guys!" Kim said in the video. "Mark Ballas, they tried to get me to dance but I said it would be like cheating on you. So, where you at Mark?"

Obviously, there's no way that Kim can compete on the Juniors edition, but it's entirely possible that her five-year-old daughter North could have been enlisted for the show. There's really no other reason that Kim would have been at the studio.

We don't really have confirmation that North will be competing besides this singular Instagram post, but if we've learned anything, it's that the Kardashians don't do anything that isn't planned.

The Pros

When you have kid competitiors, you need kid professionals! According to Just Jared, Rylee Arnold, Hailey Bills, Brightyn Brems, Artyon Celestine, JT Church, Kami Couch, Tristan Ianeiro, Lev Khmelev, Jake Monreal, Kamri Peterson, Sage Rosen and Eliana Walmsley have all been enlisted to act as the professional partners for the upcoming season.

Some of these faces will end up being familiar to fans of the show.

Rylee Arnold is cast member Lindsay Arnold's younger sister. She also competed on the kids season of So You Think You Can Dance.

Hailey Bills is the niece of newly-engaged Jenna Johnson.

Artyon Celestine wowed America when he competed on America's Got Talent in 2017.

NBC

That doesn't mean you won't see some of the adult professionals, though.

Cherly Burke, a former champion of Dancing With The Stars as a professional, will be joining the cast as a mentor for the young competitors. Even though her exact role isn't confirmed, Burke has said in the past she'd love to judge.

ABC

"I would love to be a judge," she said. "I love working with kids. I see myself in them. I started [dancing] when I was four years old. So I get it. I come from the original dance mom."

Other professionals, like Jenna Johnson, Witney Carson, Alan Bersten and Lindsay Arnold, have also been spotted coming in and out of the DWTS studios.

Are you excited for a juniors edition of DWTS?
