Home improvement is one of the activities that you can engage in during the COVID 19 quarantine. It may be quite a challenge for you to move out there to find supplies for your home improvement project during this hard season. However, there are many home improvement activities that you can engage in even when you are stuck at home. If you have some tool kits at home, some paint, gardening gear, and such items, you can easily engage in inexpensive home improvement projects that can keep you occupied and happy. However, you can also get tips from ToolTally or other companies that offer tools for home improvement projects. They should be in a position to guide you on where to find suitable tools and have these delivered to your home.

In this article, we shall discuss some of the home improvement ideas that you can take up and engage in during the COVID 19 Pandemic quarantine. Here are some of the ideas:

Use up spare paint

Some of us probably have unused paint at home that we do not know what to do with. Don't you think this is the right time to use the paint and occupy yourself in the process? You can use the paint to paint a door here and there. You can paint your door in a contrasting color.  There is a dramatic difference that a freshly painted door will bring to your house. Are there old pieces of furniture that you can paint?  You can go ahead and paint the furniture to look anew. If you do not like the color of the paint, you can still change it. What with the lots of time you have during the quarantine! If there is scuffed paint on your walls, these can be redone with any leftover paint that you may have. In general, it is easy to bring lots of change to the appearance of your home by painting with leftover paints.

Start weeding early

This is another good way to spend your quarantine time meaningfully and ensure that you are occupied throughout. For those who have a backyard, this is the time to take advantage and come up with a great makeover. You can start by clearing the lawn, remove debris and branches from the ground and finally do the weeding. Using a metal weed scraper, remove all the pesky weeds growing between the patio and the bricks. With all the time that people have during the COVID period, weeding can be the right way to keep one occupied and stress-free.

Begin a homegrown garden

What about the idea of a home-grown garden? This could be something you have always thought about but never had the time for it. Think about the beauty that a home-grown garden can bring to your home. Starting your home-grown garden does not require a big piece of land. We all know that the prices of foodstuff skyrockets during shortages caused by pandemics. This is the right time to take advantage! You can start with the easy to grow herbs. You can start with these indoors and finally expand the garden outside. Rosemary and mint are good herbs to begin with.

If you are doing this for the first time, prepare a suitable checklist and ensure that you have got everything needed to begin. Consult experts about home gardens and finally start the work. Vegetables such as kales and spinach are easy, to begin with.

Artwork or shelves

You may also make suitable shelves for your house. If you have been planning to install a shelf, or you have had a longing to hang some artwork, this is the right time to do this. With a basic tool kit, you should be able to hang your artwork after you are done making shelves.

For a fresh perspective, rearrange things

You may not have the time and energy to renovate the whole house. Your living room though can do with a bit of rearranging to make things look new and fresh. You may want to move the bookshelves to a new corner. You may also want to change the position of your TV set to give more room for a new sofa. You may also want to try a new furniture layout just to make things look different. This is also part of home makeover or home improvement activities that you can engage in during the COVID quarantine.

If one is not sure of the home makeover activities they can engage in during this period, they can check many online platforms that offer great ideas on this topic.
