Technology fans have been eagerly awaiting the new iPhones, but are they a game-changer?

The release of a new iPhone is always going to make the headlines, even if it is arguably not quite as big of a deal as it was in the past.

Regardless, the new iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro are sure to be in demand in the coming weeks as people try to get their hands on the latest devices produced by Apple.

Hopefully, these new iPhones do not melt in the sun… let's take a look at them.

Security and safety upgrades

Privacy is becoming more important to people so it is natural Apple focused on this for the new iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro.

Apple's new operating system update, which will be iOS 14, is taking major strides forward in the area of safety and security.

Not only will there be changes to Maps and Photos, it is clear a lot of thought has gone into making the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro the safest Apple devices ever released.

It became obvious last year that Apple was starting to make security a priority when it released advertisements with the tagline: "What happens on your iPhone, stays on your iPhone."

This was taken to be a dig at Android, but the good news is that the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro have stepped up to the plate when it comes to safety and security.

People using a new iPhone now have to opt in to being tracked across apps for advertising purposes, a move that could be a game changer but one which has upset a lot of developers.

Mobile games may therefore have to change a lot, but the shift should mean it is easier than ever to gamble safely on an Apple smartphone.

Tim Cook is on record as saying that the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro are going to be "an enormous leap forward" for mobile games and the same is true for playing at mobile casinos.

Indicator light a new feature

One of the new features on the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro is the addition of an indicator light that will come on an app on the device is recording the user through the microphone or camera.

This feature has already been implemented to great success on the latest Macbooks and Apple users will be delighted it is coming to the new iPhones as well.

There is no real reason why a mobile casino would need to be recording through the microphone or camera, but at least Apple users will now be able to easily see if this is ever happening.

It is fair to say that data and security are areas where people who buy the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro are going to have a lot more control than ever before.

How to gamble safely on the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro

Casino users will be interested to see how using the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro affects their ability to play games such as roulette, blackjack and poker while out and about.

The devices should make it simpler to gamble, but players need to make sure they are remaining responsible as they do so.

Gambling should never be viewed as a way to make money, as it is too unpredictable, while the risks of developing an addiction must also be noted.

Most people are able to use mobile casinos and bet on sports without developing any problems but there are no doubts that some people are unable to stay in control of their gambling.

Signs that people may be developing a problem with their gambling including borrowing money to gamble or chasing losses that have been sustained at the roulette wheel or blackjack table. Additionally, it is also recommended to avoid gambling when under the influence of alcohol.

Online casinos have self-exclusion schemes that can be joined for those who want to regain more control, while a lot of places offer the chance to use a cooling-off period as well.

Using the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro makes gambling easy, but users have to make sure they exercise caution to stay in control.
