Jason Aldean's growing family just got a little bigger!

The country star and his wife, Brittany Kerr Aldean, welcomed their second child together on Monday. The proud father shared the news on Instagram, with an adorable photo and a name that surprised the singer's fans.

Aldean, who has a pair of daughters, Keeley and Kendyl, with his previous wife Jessica Ussery, already welcomed a baby boy named Memphis, now 14 months old, with American Idol contestant Kerr.

The couple stepped outside the box when they picked out a name for their new daughter, christening her Navy Rome.

Navy, Latin for  "ship," is also associated with the bold, dark blue color that shares the name. The couple say there's no special meaning behind the choice, despite the fact that Aldean's grandfather served in the Navy.

Aldean shared where the inspiration for Navy's middle name, Rome, came from in an interview last month.

"Like with Memphis, we made a list of names that we liked, and we'd go back every once in a while, and names that had fallen off we'd take off the list," he explained.

"Britt wanted to name Memphis 'Roman' and I wasn't really feeling it. So when it came time for Navy, she asked, 'Do you care if we give her the middle name Rome?' and I was like, 'Works for me.'"

Aldean added that it "doesn't get much more common" than his first name, Jason, so he wanted his children to have "unique" names. "Not weird, but unique."

On Instagram, Aldean joked that baby Navy looked "identical to her older brother," an said he and his wife were "so excited to watch what life has in store for this little princess."

Brittany called her daughter "7lbs 12oz of pure preciousness" in her own Instagram announcement.

The successful delivery was excellent news for the couple, and not just because Brittany and Navy are both happy and healthy.

The Aldeans have been candid about their fertility difficulties, and their decision to use in vitro fertilization (IVF) for both Memphis and Navy's conceptions after Brittany was diagnosed with endometriosis.

"The IVF was probably harder than the actual pregnancy, for me, because it was just such a roller coaster and so difficult," Brittany said.

"It's such high highs and such low lows, and no one really knows that you're going through it all so you have to just put on a game face and pretend that you're not giving yourself shots in your stomach every day, all day."

Memphis, who has already been sporting an adorable "Big Brother" onesie, was busy preparing for Navy's arrival too, by caring for a baby girl doll that was a stand-in for his future sister.

But, for now, the couple say four children is more than enough to keep them busy.

Aldean told reporters he had "zero plans" to have a third child with Brittany, but of course parents know to never say never.
