Christmas cards are a tradition that hasn't fared well in the digital age.
Maybe your relatives are different, but my family only sent handful of Christmas cards this year, with most of them choosing to share holiday messages on social media instead.
Thankfully, certain celebrities are keeping the holiday spirit alive, and Live host Kelly Ripa is one of them.
Not only was Ripa's Christmas card to her fans thoughtful, it was also a pretty funny joke about her husband Mark Consuelos' "other family."
Here's the important background to this holiday joke: Consuelos stars in the Archie Comics TV show Riverdale, playing Veronica's father Hiram Lodge.
Ripa's family "Christmas card" actually featured the Lodge family, not hers, as Consuelos posed alongside his TV wife, Marisol Nichols, and TV daughter, Camila Mendes.
"Happy Holidays. From our family to yours," she captioned the snapshot. "(No actual wives or children were used in this photo)."
Ripa also showed off the back of her card, where she and Consuelos join their real children in a nice group shot.
"Love the Consuelos' (ACTUAL FAMILY)," she wrote.
Consuelos played along with Ripa's sense of humor when he shared the card himself.
"My poor wife has resorted to using my TV family as our holiday card," he wrote. "Personally..I think it's her best work."
Camila Mendes, who plays Consuelos' daughter, even joked that she felt left out by his "real" photo.
"As your newly adopted daughter, I'm a little hurt that I wasn't included in the "˜actual family' photo," she teased.
Ripa, who often jokes about her husband's "Riverdale family," recently joined it herself when she was cast as Consuelos' mistress in an upcoming episode.
"Hiram's mistress. 23 years of auditioning for a role i was born to play," she joked on Instagram.
The series is really a family affair, as the couples' 21-year-old son, Michael, recently played a younger version of his dad on a special episode.
The family's Christmas card from last year was just as playful as this one, as the couple and their three children posed in front of a graffiti wall.
Their daughter, Lola, is famously picky about which photos she allows to go up on social media, but she gave both cards the thumbs up - probably because they're just so fun.
