LFO Singer Devin Lima Dead At 41

A little over a year after it was revealed that singer Devin Lima was diagnosed with stage four adrenal cancer, it has been confirmed that he passed away. .

Celebrity news website TMZ was first to break the news of Lima's death, which took place early Wednesday morning. He was 41 years old

Lima, whose real name was Harold Lima, rose to fame as a member of the popular 90s boy band Lyte Funkie Ones, popularly known as LFO, along with Brad Fischetti and Rich Cronin, who died in 2010 after a battle with Leukemia.

They sold more than four million records worldwide and delivered some big hits, including "Every Other Time," "Girl On TV," and of course, "Summer Girls," which reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1999.

The group disbanded after Cronin's death, but in 2017, Lima and Fischetti reunited as a duo, and released a song titled "Perfect 10."

They were gearing up to go on tour in the spring of 2018, but those plans had to be put on the back burner when doctors found a football-sized tumor on Lima's adrenal gland.

He had to undergo surgery to remove the growth, which was starting to push against his organs, including his heart. Once it was out, doctors were able to determine that it was a malignant tumor.

At the time, Fischetti shared updates with the band's fans, revealing that despite being in pain. Lima's "spirits are good." He added, "The desire to get back to music drives him.  As soon as he is home he'll be back in the studio writing and producing."

The cancer spread to his other organs, including his kidney, which had to be removed.

Lima's treatment included chemotherapy, radiation, and long-term medication, but unfortunately, they weren't enough to keep him alive for much longer.
