Mason Jar Luminaries Are a Beautiful Bug Repellent

Nobody likes hanging out with mosquitoes and other little critters during a BBQ or by the campfire. This summer (spring, fall, or whatever season insects start buggin' ya), make these beautiful Mason Jar Luminaries to keep the bug bites at bay.

Especially when it comes to your health, you need to go with something non-toxic that both smells great to freshen up your space, and is effective at repelling. These cover all the bases and will add such a nice touch to your environment, you won't believe how efficient they are!

Materials Needed:

  • 4 Mason Jars
  • 40 drops each "“ Cedarwood, Lavender, Lemon and/or Thieves essential oils (or use your own combination of oils but these are known to help to repel bugs)
  • 2 fresh lemons
  • 2 fresh limes
  • 8 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • Water
  • Floating tea light candles

Directions:

Cut up lemons and limes into slices.

Fill mason jars with lemon and lime slices.

Add sprigs of rosemary.

Add essential oil drops of your choice.

Add water to each mason jar.

Carefully put in a tea light candle in each mason jar.
