Bacon on your Big Mac? Yes. Bacon on your Fillet-O-Fish? Why not? Bacon on your Mcflurry? Sure, if that's what makes you happy.

Next week, McDonald's is giving you a chance to be a little adventurous with your order during their exclusive "Bacon Hour" event.

For one hour only on January 29, the burger chain will let its customers add their new thick cut, Applewood smoked bacon to anything they order without an extra charge.

"When we said there's no such thing as too much bacon, we weren't kidding," said McDonald's manager of culinary innovation Michael Haracz in a statement. "January 29, we'll be upping the bacon ante "” the bac-ante, if you will "” and celebrating this glorious food favorite like never before."

He added, "I love bacon. America loves bacon. I really can't wait to see the crazy and daring combinations our customers put together."

The special promotion is part of the restaurant's official launch of a trio of bacon-filled items, including the Big Mac Bacon, Quarter Pounder Bacon, and Cheesy Bacon Fries.

Since late last year, there have been rumors that the new menu items would be welcomed into the golden arches, but it wasn't until McDonald's confirmed the news this month that the excitement really picked up.

According to a statement from the chain, bacon is so popular in the United States that it was a no brainer to offer it on a larger scale.

"Since 2018, the tasty indulgence has been mentioned more than 17,000 times a day across U.S. online platforms (that's 740 times an hour!)."

The new bacon sandwiches and cheesy fries will be available on January 30.

As for "Bacon Hour," it will run from 4 to 5 p.m., and there is a limit of one free side of bacon per person. Unfortunately, the offer is not available in Alaska, Hawaii and U.S. Territories.
