Everyone is obsessing over everything the newly married royals have been up to. We all want to know where they are going, what they are interested in, and how they are doing. Another thing that we are all constantly watching, whether we want to admit it or not, is what they are wearing.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are a stunning couple, and they turn every place they go into a runway. But there is one thing that Meghan Markle has been doing all along that people are only picking up on now.

It's been happening since she was first introduced as Harry's fiancee, and has continued now that she's his wife.

Her shoes have been the topic of conversation lately, but it's not the style or the brand, but instead the size of the shoes that seems to be the issue.

It was very noticeable when the couple announced their engagement. She wore some nude heels with straps and there was quite a bit of room around them. They were easily a full size too big!

This isn't a one-time thing either, she's done it several times. When she was on her trip with the Queen you could clearly see a gap at the back of her shoes.

Or even when she's out with the whole family, her shoes appear to be ever so slightly too big on her heels.

However, some people believe that she's wearing shoes that are too big for her as a carry over from her days in Hollywood.

Apparently for red carpet events and other long days when a star has to wear heels all day, their stylists will recommend that they wear shoes that are one to two sizes bigger than their actual size.

Fashion expert Harriet Davey claims that this practice has been around for a long time.

"Celebs often go a size up, or even two, in the shoe department when they're at an event or on the red carpet and it's for one reason we can all relate to - to avoid blisters."

It makes sense, because when you're going to be walking around and standing for hours on end, your feet may start to sweat and your feet will swell, leaving you stuck in shoes that are slowly getting to be too tight.

"There's nothing worse than uncomfortable shoes (we've all been there on a night out) and when celebs like Meghan are wearing heels for a long period of time their feet can often swell up."

Davey also explains how the stylists get the shoes to stay on the celeb's feet.

"A trick of the trade is to stuff the toe with padding like tissue or cotton wool, and this can be taken out once they feel like they need a bit more room in their shoes."

It's not like this is a new trick that Markle has been using. Even when she was on the show Suits you could often see that her shoes were a little bit too big for her.
