It's a moment they have been dreaming about for what feels like forever, but NHL star Mike Fisher and his wife Carrie Underwood have finally added another bundle of joy to their family.

The country singer gave birth to their second son, Jacob Bryan, on January 21, but waited a couple of days before sharing the joyous news with the world.

Finally, on January 23, Underwood shared the photos of herself, Fisher, and their three-year-old son Isaiah cuddling with the adorable newborn.

"His mom, dad and big brother couldn't be happier for God to trust them with taking care of this little miracle!" she wrote in the caption. "Our hearts are full, our eyes are tired and our lives are forever changed. Life is good..."

Nearly 24 hours after the news of Jacob's arrival broke, Fisher has taken a moment to put his feelings about his new son into words.

Along with a photo of the sleeping baby, the former Nashville Predators captain penned a sentimental note in which he thanks God for gifting them with Jacob.

"Jacob Bryan Fisher! You are a gift from our Lord! The last few years has has had its challenges and it makes this moment even more sweet!" the proud dad wrote. "We didn't know if Izzy would ever have another sibling but we learned through it all that God is in control and his timing is perfect! He is good all the time even in the difficult times that are hard to understand."

As one of Fisher's hashtags puts it, Jacob is indeed a miracle baby.

In an interview with CBS Sunday Morning last September, Underwood revealed that she and Fisher had been planning on adding to their brood, but they were met with a lot of heartbreak along the way.

The "Cry Pretty" singer suffered three miscarriages, and was even convinced that she was about to experience a fourth at one point during her most recent pregnancy.

"Mike was away just for the evening, and I texted him, and I was like, "˜I don't really want to be alone, so I'm just gonna go snuggle with Isaiah.' And I don't know how I didn't wake him up, but I was just sobbing," Underwood explained. "And I was like, "˜Why on Earth do I keep getting pregnant if I can't have a kid? Like, what is this? Shut the door. Like, do something. Either shut the door or let me have a kid.'"

Thankfully, her chat with God worked in her favor. In August, she announced her pregnancy to the world, telling her fans that she, Fisher and Isaiah were "over the moon and excited to be adding another little fish to our pond."

Congratulations to Fisher and Underwood on their rainbow baby!
