Pasta is one of the best meals around. It is so versatile and can really be transformed into so many different dishes. This one, brings bacon and peas into the mix, with a creamy and flavorful dish you are going to love!

- 8 oz bacon, diced
- 3/4 cup diced onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 1/2 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 cup milk
- 8 oz dry penne pasta
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Grated Parmesan, optional (for serving)
In a large skillet, fry the bacon until it is cooked.
Remove the bacon and drain almost all the grease, leaving 2 tbsp in the skillet. Add in the onions and garlic and cook until softened.
Pour in the chicken broth with the milk and stir. cover and bring it to a boil.
Once it has boiled, add the pasta and reduce the heat. Cover again and let the pasta cook.
Now that the pasta is cooked, add the peas, sour cream, cooked bacon and salt and pepper to taste, and mix it all together.
Serve with grated Parmesan on top and enjoy!
