Chance met with Illinois governor Bruce Rauner to plead for more money to be delivered to the schools in need. He was unhappy with the response.</p><p>""The governor gave me a lot of vague answers in our meeting," Chance told reporters.</p><div><amp-twitter height="472" width="375" layout="responsive" data-tweetid="838848113574019073"></amp-twitter></div><p>The rapper said it's important to fund these schools because the after-school programs help hundreds of thousands of children.</p><p>Growing up on Chicago's South Side taught Chance the importance of giving back. He's calling on corporations, companies and others to follow his lead. </p><p><!-- [invalid-shortcode] --></p><p>At only 23 Chance has put together an impressive resume of both musical accomplishments and activism. He won three Grammy's this past year but has also been recognized by the city of Chicago for his work trying to stop gun violence.</p><p></p></div>
