Rosie O'Donnell's Feud With Her Daughter Just Took An Ugly Turn In Public

Rosie O'Donnell and her estranged daughter, Chelsea Alliegro, are in the midst of a very ugly feud that has recently gone public with interviews and Twitter posts.

It all started with an interview, which 20-year-old Chelsea announced she was pregnant with what would be Rosie's first grandchild.

"It's very exciting and I'm looking forward to it," she said. "I don't really care if I have a boy or a girl, I'm just hoping for a healthy baby. Rosie will not be in my child's life, and no, I do not feel sad about that, to be honest."

Instead she will consider Rosie's first wife, Kelli Carpenter and her husband's mother as the child's two grandparents.

Chelsea, who was adopted by Rosie when she was just three months old, have had a strained relationship for most of her adult life. She is the second of Rosie's five adopted children.

"I don't currently talk to any of my siblings," she revealed.

In 2015 when she was 17-years-old, Chelsea ran away from home. This prompted her mother to post on Twitter for her safe return, indicating that she was mentally ill and in need of care. A week later the teen turned up at her then-boyfriend's house and had a completely different version of the story her mother told.

She claimed Rosie had kicked her out of the house, and denied any mental illness.

In 2017, Cheslea met her husband, 31-year-old Nick, and the pair got married 3 months later without sharing the news with Rosie.

"[Rosie] was upset that we got married without telling her, which I totally understand," she said at the time to Inside Edition. "I think she was shocked. The last time we got into an argument, we ended up screaming at each other and I left the room. Growing up, I never really got along with her and then once she kicked me out, I was just kind of done."

The news of Chelsea's pregnancy seems to have set Rosie over the edge for another reason.

In the interview, Chelsea also indicated that Rosie's ex-wife, Michelle Round, commited suicide last week. Previously the death had been reported without the suicide detail.

Rosie and Michelle also shared a four-year-old daughter, Dakota.

The comic had a statement to make about this news.

"I am saddened to hear about this terrible tragedy," O'Donnell said in a statement. "Mental illness is a very serious issue affecting many families. My thoughts and prayers go out to Michelle's family, her wife and their child."

After the interview started to make it's rounds online, Rosie took to Twitter.

This included several cryptic tweets:

This also included the letter that Chelsea had left when she ran away.

Her vague messages, soon became clear when she was allegedly trying to clear her name, and offering some advice to her daughter.

The former View host also posted a baby picture of Chelsea, including a poem that Rose wrote earlier this year that could explain some of her daughter's behavior.

Someone even went as far to give Rosie some advice about her tweets:

Despite the backlash from some Twitter users, Rosie said she will not take down her posts.

When asked if one day she would like to make peace with her mother, Cheslea told Inside Edition, "I hope."
