"Skeleton" Flower Is The Reason We Look Forward To Rainy Days

All this amazing flower needs is a few raindrops to transform like Cinderella.

The "Skeleton" Flower, or Diphelleia grayi, is a perennial wildflower with delicate white flowers and giant umbrella-like leaves. Found mainly in wooded areas of Japan, China, and the Appalachian Mountains in the U.S., the plant's blossoms change from solid white to transparent when exposed to water. When it rains, the Diphelleia grayi is in its full glory.

You can see why this flower is so magical. The petals look like they're made of glass during a rainfall. As soon as they start to dry out, the blossoms return to their original solid white.

Nature can be miraculous sometimes. You can clearly see the veins through the translucent petals! It's no mystery why it's known as the "Skeleton" Flower.

Would you love to have one of these cool plants? Although the Diphelleia grayi loves a cold, wet climate, there's a chance it might grow in your garden if you have a damp and shaded plot of soil! You can buy it in garden centers near you for around $20.
