Slow Cooker Beer Braised Short Ribs Are Fall-Off-The-Bone Fantastic

Any recipe that involves a slow cooker is pretty much guaranteed to be amazing. If you haven't tried beer braised short ribs you are missing out!

These short ribs are coated in an amazing sauce that is going to create the most delicious and tender ribs you have ever had! It only takes about ten minutes to prep this meal so you can get it ready before you head off to work and then, by the time you get home there will be fall-off-the-bone ribs ready to be devoured!

Ingredients:

  • 3 to 3 1/2 pounds bone-in short ribs
  • 3 medium onions, cut into wedges
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 bottle (12 oz) light beer or nonalcoholic beer
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 tsp dried thyme
  • 2 tsp beef bouillon granules
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cold water

Instructions:

In a bowl mix together the beer, brown sugar, mustard, tomato paste, thyme, bouillon, salt and pepper.

Line the bottom of your slow cooker with the onion wedges.

Then place your ribs on top and add your bay leaf.

Pour the mixture over your ribs.

Put the cover on your slow cooker and let cook on low for 8-10 hours until meat is tender.

Pull the meat and veggies out of the slow cooker and keep warm.

Pour the liquid from the slow cooker into a small saucepan. Bring the liquid to a boil and then skim off the fat

Add the flour and water and allow it to come to a boil again and stir until it is thickened.
