While the weather outside might be frightful, cool drinks are so delightful.

Just in time for Christmas, the genius makers of the dlicious ICEE have brought out something guaranteed to transport you to a winter wonderland. It's a new limited-time festive flavor: Sugar Plum.

This magical pink and purple festive drink can be found exclusively at more than 1,500 Target locations nationwide.

What are sugar plums exactly and what do they taste like?

I'm sure we are all familiar with one of America's most beloved poems, Clement Clark Moore's "A Visit from St. Nicholas," a.k.a. "Twas the Night Before Christmas" (1823).

The children were nestled all snug in their beds,While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads...

However, I wasn't really sure what they were so I looked it up. According to candy historians and the Oxford English Dictionary, a sugar plum is a comfit "” that is, a seed, nut, or scrap of spice coated with a layer of hard sugar, like the crunchy outer case of an M&M. A comfit is thought to be one of the world's oldest sugar candies. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm going to guess that a sugar plum tastes sweet. Very sweet.
