Taco Bell's Dollar Menu Is Out And It's Giving McDonald's A Run For Their Money

PopSugar

There's nothing that says 2018 more than fast food chains offering better deals. They provide our bread and butter, and what better way for them to thank us for being loyal customers than offering us amazing deals.

Lately, Taco Bell has been full of surprises. They recently came out with a food-themed clothing line with Forever 21, and added a bunch of strange items on their menu, such as the KitKat quesdalilla, a burrito filled with spicy "popping crystals," and a "French fry burrito." Now some chains will soon be able to serve alcohol.

Seriously, Taco Bell is really stepping up their game.

"We believe passionately that people should have more than just the ability to eat for $1; they should feel like they can feast for $1," said Marisa Thalberg, Chief Marketing Officer at Taco Bell. "We are (and always have been) completely committed to coming up with the most craveable, creative menu items that set the bar for what great food at a great value should be."

But that's not all!

McDonald's announced its new dollar-menu a few months ago, and now Taco Bell has followed suit.

So how can Taco Bell outbeat the newly returned Happy Meal that's only a dollar?

We're still not sure exactly which foods will be on the value menu, but they did mention a few favorites. You can soon buy the Stacker, which is a layered tortilla with ground beef, shredded cheese and nacho cheese sauce, for only one dollar.

The best part is that Taco Bell has a breakfast, lunch, and dinner meal option, and it's all only a buck, while McDonald's has foods priced at $1, $2, or $3.

Here's what you may find for breakfast:

  • Grilled Breakfast Sausage Burrito
  • Sausage Flatbread Quesadilla
  • Mini Skillet Bowl
  • Cinnabon Delights 2-Pack
  • Hash Brown
  • Breakfast Soft Taco, in Bacon or Sausage styles
  • Mountain Dew Kickstart Orange Citrus

Here's what you may find for lunch and dinner:

  • Shredded Chicken Mini Quesadilla
  • Beefy Fritos Burrito
  • Spicy Tostada
  • Beefy Mini Quesadilla
  • Cheesy Bean And Rice Burrito
  • Cheesy Rollup
  • Triple Layer Nachos
  • Spicy Potato Taco
  • Cinnamon Twists
  • Caramel Apple Empanada

So while these fast food chains are battling it out to make more money, we're just glad that we're paying less to buy what we love.

Will you be going to Taco Bell, or are you still a die-hard McDonald's fan?
