This Little Girl Has Created Her Own Company To Help Kids With Cancer

Bella Fricker is only 9 years old, and she has already decided that she wants to make the world a better place. When she learned about all the kids with cancer in her town, she decided she wanted to help the kids feel a little bit better even if just for a moment.

She decided she would set up her own charity where she sells homemade bracelets and uses the proceeds to buy bald American Girl dolls for the little girls fighting cancer.
<amp-img src="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/02/2263329711-3.jpg" srcset="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/02/2263329711-3_GH_content_550px.jpg 550w" sizes="89vw" title="" alt="" height="9" width="16" layout="responsive"></amp-img>

Th idea started back in October 2016 when Bella's mom was involved in fundraising activities for the four girls who were diagnosed with cancer in their town. "I think she has just taken her love and passion for American Girl dolls and turned it into her passion with wanting to make little girls feel happy when they're in the hospital and have lost their hair," Valerie Fricker, Bella's mom said of the idea.
<amp-img src="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/02/2263329711-3-1.jpg" srcset="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/02/2263329711-3-1_GH_content_550px.jpg 550w" sizes="89vw" title="" alt="" height="9" width="16" layout="responsive"></amp-img>

Inside Bella's room she has made herself a little work station where she makes the bracelets. People can order custom designs or "grab bags" off of her Facebook page. She estimates that she has already sold about 500 bracelets.

Bella has set it up so that she can meet the girls that are receiving the dolls, so she can present it to them. She even tries to find out a little bit of information about the girl's interests so she can pick out relevant outfits.
<amp-img src="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/02/2263329711-3-2.jpg" srcset="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/02/2263329711-3-2_GH_content_550px.jpg 550w" sizes="89vw" title="" alt="" height="9" width="16" layout="responsive"></amp-img>
Bella usually drops them off with coloring books and crayons because she wants them to have something to do during chemotherapy or while they are in the hospital. She is an incredibly sweet kid who hopes to donate more dolls over the year.

"I hope I get enough money to buy a lot of dolls and give them to other hospitals around the country" Bella said in an interview.

The dolls she donates are from the "Truly Me" line from American Girl which are all bald so that girls with alopecia, cancer, or any other hair loss conditions can have a doll that they feel resembles them. They can even get hair added when theirs starts to grow back for free if they send it to the company.
<amp-img src="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/02/2263329711-3-3.jpg" srcset="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/02/2263329711-3-3_GH_content_550px.jpg 550w" sizes="89vw" title="" alt="" height="9" width="16" layout="responsive"></amp-img>
If you want to help out Bella's cause, check out her Facebook page!

Share with your friends to help Bella donate to more kids!
