It seems like the newly married royal couple is always facing some sort of controversy, and unfortunately it seems to always come from Meghan Markle's family.

Just recently, her sister spoke out about how Harry should have married his ex, which obviously isn't the nicest thing you can say about anyone, let alone your sister. But now her father is once again back in the media, pleading to get in contact with his daughter, claiming she looks "terrified."

Speaking with The Sun, Thomas Markle claims that his daughter is in pain. She's been seen out and about with her new husband, meeting hundreds of people and attending countless events. She's been joking about having children, she's attended her nephew's christening, and she's been looking great at all these events. But Thomas believes he's seeing more that an excited smile.

"My thing about my daughter right now is that I think she is terrified. I see it in her eyes, I see it in her face and I see it in her smile. I've seen her smile for years. I know her smile. I don't like the one I'm seeing now. This one isn't even a stage smile"”this is a pained smile."

He is blaming the royal family for her pain, saying that he's worried because of the pressure his daughter is under.

"That might be just having a couple of bad days. I don't know. It really worries me. I think she's under too much pressure," he said. "There's a high price to pay to be married to that family."

He also brought up the fact that the royal protocols are making his daughter dress like she's "in the 1930s."

"Why in 2018 are we dressing like the 1930s?" he said. "Why do they have to cover their knees?"

Thomas believes he's being shunned by the royal family, including his daughter, since he arranged to have paparazzi take his photo while he "got ready for the wedding."

"I thought that would be a nice way of improving my look. Well obviously that all went to hell."

"Anyone who makes a profit off the royal family becomes shunned," he said. "The royal family is living by rules that are outdated. Half of Great Britain seems to make a fortune selling pictures of my daughter and her husband. Are they shunned?"

He claims he has been unable to reach his daughter since shortly after the royal wedding on May 19th, 2018.

"Since the interview, the phone number that I call doesn't work anymore," he explained. "The, I guess, liaison with the royal family never answers back, and there's no address I can write to so I have no way of contacting my daughter."

Because he couldn't get in contact with her, he reached out to The Sun to try and get his message to her.

"My message [to her] would be, 'I love you, I miss you, I'm sorry for anything that went wrong,'" he said. "And I want to be her [future] child's grandfather and I want to be near them. I want to be a part of their life. I'd like to put our differences behind us and get together. I miss you very much."

He tries to explain that it's not about money, but he does want to have someone to take care of him when he's older.

"I don't care whether she's pissed off at me"”I want to see her," Thomas said. "I just want to have a father-daughter relationship. I took care of my mother the last five years of her life. My daughter said to me she would take care of me in my declining years. I'm not talking about money"”I'm talking about taking care of me. That's important to me."

I don't know about you, but if his concerns with his relationship with his daughter are purely based on the fact that he won't have someone to take care of him when he's older, it sounds to me like he is kind of talking about the money. But hopefully Meghan and Harry find a way to make peace with her family so they can stop causing so much drama.
