Kailia Posey, who was one of the child stars from popular TLC show Toddlers & Tiaras, has died.

She was 16 years old.

Her mother broke the news on Facebook, sharing a prom photo and this message: "I don’t have words or any thoughts. A beautiful baby girl is gone. Please give us privacy as we mourn the loss of Kailia. My baby forever."

Details surrounding Posey's death have not been disclosed.

However, Washington State Police confirmed to DailyMail.com that authorities were investigating a juvenile death at Birch Bay State Park, in Blaine.

State police responded to the scene Sunday around 1.26pm to assist the Whatcom County Sheriff's and park service. It is unclear what time the juvenile died.

Authorities did not confirm if Posey was the juvenile found at the park, citing state law that does not allow for identification of a minor while a criminal or death investigation is underway. More information will be provided once the investigation has concluded.
