A family in Malaysia is being hailed as heroes after they rescued three kittens from underneath their car.

But in fact, it should be the author of a note left on the family's car.

Nur Izzah Zabidi from Malaysia shared the story on her Facebook page, about how her mother found a note on her car left by a stranger, warning her about a potentially dangerous situation.

The note read:

"Dear sir/[madam],

There is a sound of little kittens underneath your car. Appreciate if you can check before you start your car engine. [Thank you] so much.

Immediately, Zabidi's mom called the fire department to help find the source of the meowing. Moving around underneath a car isn't necessarily a safe thing to do, so calling reinforcements was a smart move. A few students also stopped to help the family.

With the help of everyone around, three tiny ginger kittens were rescued from underneath the car. The mother cat was not around, so it's assumed these kittens were abandoned and looking for some place warm to stay.

"The amount of effort put in to save these three kittens is just amazing... And whoever that person who left the note on my mom's car, thank you! You just saved 3 lives," Nur Izzah said.

This is a good reminder to always check for animals under your car, especially in colder weather!
