American Girl Made A Big Change, And People Are Not Happy

American Girl is one of the most (if not THE most) iconic toy brand in the world. It produces girl dolls from ages 8 through 11 and come with books as told from the viewpoint of the girls.

You can buy coordinating outfits with your doll to make it more personal, and you can also buy a variety of doll clothes to keep her stylish.

But now, American Girl has made a fashion announcement that is not sitting well with a lot of customers.

Any new dolls produced will have the underwear sewn onto the doll. In the past, underwear was removable and you could purchase different styles.

The company immediately faced backlash and posted a statement on Facebook to try and calm the storm. Many of the concerns surrounded the idea that perhaps the dolls could no longer dress in the bathing suits made for them because the underwear would show. American Girl addressed those concerns in their post.

"As you can see, the underwear will not interfere with any of our doll clothes and should not interfere with our swimwear. Doll play is fueled by imagination and the new underwear design should not hamper a girl's ability to create limitless play opportunities."

Even with American Girl's comments, people were NOT happy about the change.

Others, however, don't understand what the big deal is.

What do you think about this change? Ridiculous, or not even newsworthy? Let us know.
