These days, it seems like finding a successful marriage is a dime a dozen, especially if you're a big name in Hollywood.

In the past few years, we've mourned the end of several high-profile relationships, such as Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux, and Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum.

However, when Anna Faris and Chris Pratt announced their separation in August 2017, after eight years of marriage, fans were stunned.

"We tried really hard for a long time, and we're really disappointed."

In a joint statement, both Faris and Pratt took to their respective social media accounts to disclose the split.

"We are sad to announce we are legally separating," the statement read. "We tried really hard for a long time, and we're really disappointed."

"Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep the situation as private as possible moving forward. We still love each other and will always cherish our time together."

The former couple both filed for divorce last December, and nearly a year later it was granted.

"Divorce sucks," the Guardians of the Galaxy star told Entertainment Weekly in April. "But at the end of the day, we've got a great kid who's got two parents who love him very much. And we're finding a way to navigate this while still remaining friends and still being kind to one another."

Although not all of the details of Faris and Pratt's settlement have been released,it may have some people scratching their heads when it comes to their custody agreement.

"I think it's just the general idea of just making sure that he's surrounded by a lot of love and happiness."

With the help of a private judge, Faris and Pratt agreed to live no more than five miles apart until their son Jack finishes the sixth grade, TMZ reports. If either of them eventually decide to move, they must inform the other three months ahead of time.

The documents also state that Faris and Pratt must let each other know 30 days in advance if they wish to take their son out of the country and a "reasonable" notice if traveling out of state.

A source told E! News that it was an amicable progress, due to the fact a prenup was in place and that neither party had asked for spousal support.

In an episode of the Anna Faris Is Unqualified podcast, the Moms star revealed the former couple's goal throughout their divorce was to make sure Jack knew he was loved.

"I think it's just the general idea of just making sure that he's surrounded by a lot of love and happiness and we're really good at that and we have amazing friends and an incredible family and we have like just the most amazing resources to make sure that he feels safe and protected and happy and so far he is," she said. "He's pretty hysterical."

"It seems they all get along really well. Everyone had a good time."

Since their split, both Faris and Pratt have moved on and have found love with new partners.

Faris has been with cinematographer Michael Barrett since October 2017, while Pratt is in a relationship with Katherine Schwarzenegger, the oldest daughter of Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger for the past few months.

The two couples seem to get along to get along great, as all four were spotted taking Jack trick-or-treating this Halloween.

"Along with Katherine and Michael, they all took Jack trick-or-treating in Pacific Palisades," a source told PEOPLE. "It seems they all get along really well. Everyone had a good time. They were making an effort to make sure Jack had a great Halloween."
