Three-year-old Michael Brown got the best Christmas gift ever, a permanent family! Michael was officially adopted by the Brown family on December 20, 2016 and he couldn't contain his excitement. His genuine reaction has caught the attention of the internet after his sisters, Dezhianna, 17, and Jordae, 18, shared photos of the milestone on Twitter.

Michael was already considered a part of the Brown family as he has been with them as a foster child since February 2015 and he already had the shared the same last name as them.

According to Dezhianna, Michael was shy at first but he has been a "lot more outgoing." She also told Buzzfeed that he is much happier: "Now when he sleeps with me, he'll roll over in the morning and get super close to my face and say, "˜Dae, I so happy.' Cue the awws!

After Dezhianna shared some tweets about the happy news, Twitter users couldn't help but share their reactions and there were no shortage of tears.

The saying "Some things are worth the wait" couldn't be more true for the Browns!
