In light of all the negative comments many breastfeeding moms receive from strangers, it's nice to know that some people have managed to maintain their good sense of humor.

For reasons beyond me, public breastfeeding is still a heated issue in the U.S.

In late July, a Petsense employee threatened to "punch" a mother and baby because the woman was breastfeeding in public.

"I'm not sorry - the next female that tries to whip her boob out to breastfeed in front of my kids will get a black eye, move that baby [because] I'll punch it too. #zerocare #why #inpublicletsjustshowkidsboobs #notmine," the controversial Facebook post read.

And a month before that, an Alabama mother was told by a restaurant worker that her breastfeeding was "offensive," then the employee proceeded to cover her baby's head with a dish rag.

"[She] told me I needed to cover myself up because she's a 'Christian' and my breastfeeding offended her," the frustrated mother told her local news outlet.

Many people have complained about feeling uncomfortable in the presence of a breastfeeding mother, while others argue that these mothers often have no other choice but to nourish their baby when in public.

Whether or not people feel uncomfortable, breastfeeding is actually legal in all 50 states.

That being said, that doesn't deter some people from making nasty comments.

While some mothers are quick to post their negative experience online, one breastfeeding mother just got a good laugh - and it's got people from around the world laughing too!

Carol Lockwood shared a photo of a breastfeeding mother's hilarious response to being told to "cover up" at a restaurant.

According to Yahoo Lifestyle, the Texas mother was breastfeeding her four-month-old baby while on vacation in Mexico.

"I was on vacation in Cabo San Lucas with my entire family and a man asked me to cover myself," Dudley said. "I'm usually discreet, but we were seated in the back of the restaurant."

In the photo below, you can see that instead of covering up her baby's head, the mother places a blanket on top of her own head.

Lockwood's photo was posted on July 31 and already has more than 120,000 likes and 210,000 shares.

The comments, however, are quite divided.

"I don't get this stuff.like no one wants to see your bloated, milk filled breast with a human child suckling on it. just cover up, have some modesty."

"I'm over 70 and truthfully I'm uncomfortable seeing breastfeeding in public ... Try to understand, we were brought up to breast feed in privacy at home and use a bottle in public. It's just the way we are ... If I'd seen this woman cover her head instead of the baby I'd have asked to be seated somewhere else or left the restaurant."

"Women like this are EXACTLY THE PROBLEM. This is why people still fight over breastfeeding. They think that modesty is oppressive. I think their arrogance is exhausting."

For the most part, people congratulated the mother.

"Good for her. Proud of you girl for standing up for yourself."

"Good for you Mom! All of the awful stuff we see in the news today and this is what the guy is complaining about??? SHAME ON HIM!"

This isn't the first time something like this has happened.

Last year, a breastfeeding mother also fought back in the exact same way as Dudley when she was asked to cover up.

Nicolle Blackman explained in her viral Facebook post that she had no choice but to breastfeed while eating out.

"Nobody knew that my son had surgery and wouldn't take a bottle. People are judging before they know the story," she told Metro. "There is nothing wrong with covering up if that's what you choose to do...[people should] just do whatever is best for them. If they want to cover that's fine, if they don't, that's fine too."
