Since her appearance on American Idol 13 years ago, Carrie Underwood has unquestionably been one of country music's top superstars.

With more than 170 international awards under Underwood's belt, including seven Grammys, it's no surprise she's been the target of constant media attention - for both the good and the bad.

"It's crazy how a freak random accident can change your life."

In 2017, Underwood suffered a traumatic fall that required the "Cry Pretty" songstress  to have more than 40 stitches, and in January, took to her blog to discuss her accident.

"There is also another part of the story that I haven't been ready to talk about since I have still been living it and there has been much uncertainty as to how things will end up," Underwood wrote. "It's crazy how a freak random accident can change your life."

"In addition to breaking my wrist, I somehow managed to injure my face as well. I'll spare you the gruesome details, but when I came out of surgery the night of my fall, the doctor told [Underwood's husband] Mike that he had put between 40 and 50 stitches in."

But despite the trauma the previously year brought, 2018 has only brought incredible moments to the country singer, who released her sixth album, received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and is expecting her second child with her retired hockey player husband, Mike Fisher.

Although there are rarely any longstanding couples in Tinseltown these days, Underwood and Fisher are a pair guaranteed to stand the test of time.

"Everyone is getting divorced," Underwood noted to Cosmopolitan in 2015. "They're dropping like flies! But we are good. It helped that we were both established before we were married. Neither one of us could be like, 'I didn't know it would be like this!'"

Their love is still going strong, and the proof is in Fisher's recent parody of one of Underwood's most iconic songs confirms it.

"We just wanted to have fun with it [and] obviously showcase my vocal talent."

On November 6, Fisher released spoof of Underwood's 2005 hit song, "Before He Cheats," it's just as catchy as the original.

The song, titled "Before She Bleats," which refers to the noise a doe makes during mating season, is a ballad for Fisher's co-owned hunting-themed clothing brand, Catchin' Deers.

"I think most people know [Underwood's] not a hunting fan, so I think she wanted to be able to plead the fifth and then be surprised," Fisher told Entertainment Tonight.

"We just wanted to have fun with it [and] obviously showcase my vocal talent."

In the video, Fisher is seen wearing a red plaid shirt as he switches from a recording studio, riding in his car, and hunting for deer.

"Right now he's probably out grazing with a corn-fed doe and it's probably getting frisky," Fisher croons. "Maybe next time she'll think before she bleats."

Fisher said Underwood, who's a known vegan, didn't write the song and he didn't need to "go through her" to have it recorded.

"She might not have approved it," he joked, adding his wife would likely "have a laugh with it."

"Opposites attract," Fisher continued. "My wife is the best. She puts up with my hunting and she loves me."
