Dad Makes A Great Point About Mens' Rooms And We All Have To Agree

Only a few decades ago, a majority of American women were solely responsible for raising their children.

These stay-at-home moms would feed, clothe, wash, and play with their kids while the breadwinners were at work.

Today, women make up 47% of the total U.S. labor force, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.

As men and women become more equal in the workforce, the exact same trend is happening at home.

Couples are dividing parenting tasks, but according to some dads, society hasn't caught up just yet, especially when it comes to the changing table problem in men's bathrooms.

Even celebrities like Ashton Kutcher have spoken out about this issue.

That post was from four years ago, and according to many fathers, this is still an ongoing issue when they leave the house with their young children.

Donte Palmer hopes his movement #SquatForChange will change things once and for all.

The Florida father of three took to Instagram to show just how bad this problem. He shared a photo of his one-year-old son sprawled on his legs while he squats to change him fast while in a restaurant's bathroom.

"This is a serious post!!! What's the deal with not having changing tables in men's bathroom as if we don't exist!!" Palmer wrote in the viral post.

"Clearly we do this often because look how comfortable my son is. It's routine to him!" he added.

"I'm fighting for all fathers," Palmer told Fox News. "It's one of those times where society portrays these gender roles, women are supposed to cook and clean and take care of the babies "” but if I truly love my wife, let me serve her and help her."

Palmer inspired many other fathers to share photos of themselves struggling to change their child's diaper without the support of a changing table.

This isn't the first time a father has been completely "fed up" with this issue and took to social media to raise awareness.

Chris Mau took to Facebook after he was forced to change his baby's diaper on the bathroom floor.

"I was immediately frustrated with the ignorance of the facility," Mau said in an essay he wrote on Love What Matters.

"With Kali crying I had to make the hard choice between either making her wait until we found a facility that had a changing station, or ease her discomfort and change her in the bathroom anyway."

Mau had no other choice but to lay a towel on the unsanitary bathroom floor.

"I felt like they honestly don't think a father is responsible for diaper changing or whatnot, and I recalled times in the past where we had traveled and run into similar situations where the public restrooms did not have changing stations resulting in the hassle of trying to change a diaper in the car, on a floor or looking for another place to try, hoping they had one."
