Some stars in Hollywood remain shining bright long after they're gone and Clark Gable is one such star. He's an icon, even after passing away over fifty years ago.

We'll always remember his talent and classic good looks, both of which had seemed to pass to his grandson, Clark Gable III - also an actor.

Sadly, the younger Gable was found unresponsive in bed by his fiance and despite treatment, never woke up. He was only 30.

"It is with an extremely heavy heart we say goodbye to my beautiful son Clark," his mother wrote on Instagram. "He passed this morning. I will always be next to you my beautiful son. Mom."

Gable is mourned by his parents John Clark Gable and Tracy Yarro, his sister Kayley Gable and his daughter, Shore.

Kayley took to Facebook to remember her brother.

My brother was found unresponsive this morning by his fiancé and didn't wake up .. I LOVE YOU CLARKIE I'm so sorry we couldn't save you my heart is broken and shattered RIP

"My brother was found unresponsive this morning by his fiancé and didn't wake up .. I LOVE YOU CLARKIE I'm so sorry we couldn't save you my heart is broken and shattered RIP," she wrote.

There's no elaboration on what she meant about "saving" him.

Gable had a striking resemblance to his grandfather and often posted about him on social media.

Gable was also an actor and was recently working as a host for the show Cheaters.

His last message on social media alluded to an extended absence, but there didn't appear to be any red flags for friends or family.

No cause of death has been released.
