Prison is likely a brutal, scary place to be. Penned in with hardened criminals, every part of your day scheduled and structured and all of it overseen by unforgiving guards.

One thing about prison that we might not think about is that it's also very boring.

Having all day with no responsibilities and very few things to break up the monotony would be an adjustment for anybody, but must be that much worse for someone who got everything they've ever wanted for the past 40 years.

Bill Cosby was sentenced to 3 to 10 years in prison after being convicted of sexual assault. When he was sent to prison, it meant the end of many years worth of searching for justice for his victims. It was also the beginning of a severe punishment for an 81-year-old man who had escaped the consequences for despicable actions he had been doing for years.

Old, frail, and used to a privileged life, many wondered how Crosby would fair in prison. We might have a better idea of his life inside after an alleged source spoke to Radar Online.

According to them, the convicted sex offender has been re-creating his famous character Dr. Huxtable, from The Cosby Show, to the delight of his fellow inmates.

"He is accepting appointments from inmates to help diagnose anything from a cold to obesity," the source told the news outlet.

"He told us that he wore a bed sheet like an apron to get into character."

Cosby is being held at the SCI Phoenix maximum security prison in Pennsylvania.

There was concern that Cosby's age and status would make him a target for his other inmates.

"How does he fight off people who are trying to extort him for a walk to the mess hall?" Cosby's attorney Joseph P. Green argued in court.

The prison initially housed Cosby in a single cell near the infirmary, it's unclear if that's his current living situation.

The ultimate goal is to have him released to general population.

It appears the prison is aware of Cosby's clinic and might even approve.

"He's old, so the prison staff just want no problems," said one relative of an inmate familiar with the situation. They went on to say Cosby's goal is to get a job in the infirmary.

It's easy to think that Cosby is performing for the other prisoners to keep himself popular and, thus, safe, but the source hints at other reasons.

"[He] believes he learned a lot about how to cure people and speak to patients after playing Dr. Huxtable for nearly eight years," the source said. He also noted that if he detects a serious problem he "refers them to the infirmary with a preliminary diagnosis."

Whether or not his doctor act is to keep him safe or just to pass the time, it marks a huge fall for the man who once ruled TV - and he only has himself to blame.
