Dr. Pimple Popper Is Getting Her Own Gross And Gooey Christmas Special

TLC

Out of all the wonderful weirdness the internet has produced, the incredible career of Dr. Sandra Lee is one of the web's most bizarre stories.

The dermatologist from Southern California began sharing stomach-turning videos of herself popping pimples on YouTube just a few years ago.

Despite all of the oozing pus, Lee's fans say her videos are actually relaxing to watch, and oddly satisfying.

Soon, her YouTube channel became a viral sensation. But Lee didn't stop there, turning her online fame, and legions of "popaholic" fans, into a true pimple popping empire.

Her reality show on TLC (also called Dr. Pimple Popper) quickly became one of TV's biggest shows when it premiered earlier this year.

And a board game inspired by her videos, Pimple Pete, is already one of this holiday season's must-have toys.

Now, in another announcement that proves people just can't get enough pimples, cysts, and zits, Lee is starring in her own Christmas special set to air next month.

The special, appropriately titled The 12 Pops of Christmas, will feature a holiday rush of gooey pops handled with care by Lee, according to a press release.

Interestingly, the good doctor claims that her business booms around Christmas, as patients rush into to get their pus-filled spots lanced before it's time to take their holiday photos.

Only time will tell if watching pimple popping videos with your family beside the Christmas tree could become an annual tradition. But I'm willing to bet Lee's special will be a hit.

The 12 Pops of Christmas is set to air on Thursday, December 13 at 9 p.m., so set your DVRs now because you won't want to miss it.

And if you're anxiously waiting for more of Lee's reality show, season two is premiering just around the corner in January
