Faith Hill has been a force to be reckoned with in the music industry for almost 25 years. The "Way You Love Me" singer has won five Grammy Awards and has been nominated for another 13.
In 1996, Hill set out on tour with fellow country music star, Tim McGraw. The two began seeing each other, despite Hill being engaged to her producer. Months later, the singer found out she was pregnant. She and McGraw married in October 1996 and have been together ever since.
McGraw and Hill continue to be a power couple in the country music world, proving that it's possible to stay devoted to the same person despite being in the public eye. Currently, the couple is on their Soul2Soul tour, and just released their first-ever joint album, called The Rest Of Our Life.
But now, after a long leg of the tour, fans are reeling with concern after a statement was released regarding her health.
The couple's press team released a statement, saying:
“Under doctor’s advisement, Faith Hill has been put on two days of vocal rest and unfortunately, the Soul2Soul show in North Little Rock, AR at the Verizon Arena tomorrow is being canceled. Tim and Faith adore their fans and are so sorry to disappoint them.”
One source says Tim McGraw is "beside himself", fearing that if her condition gets any worse, it could mean the end of her singing career.
Dr. Stuart Fisher, a New York Internist, says there are multiple ailments that could lead to Hill's throat issues, and that some of them may be serious.
“Someone like Faith Hill would no doubt see a throat specialist to have this checked out," Dr. Fisher says. "If it’s not cancer, she could develop throat polyps, which can rupture, and really are a singer’s worst fear. Faith needs to take it easy.”
There hasn't been any further update on Hill's condition, and it's entirely possible this is just a case of exhaustion. Our fingers are crossed that that's all it is.
